Studio Mage

Studio Mage is a two women-led architecture and interior design studio co-founded by Ar. Angulakshmi Anguraj and Ar. Maya Karthik, formerly operating as The Concrete Storeys. Based in Chennai, the studio focuses on residential interiors and blends practicality with aesthetics, earning recognition in leading Indian design publications for projects across Chennai and Coimbatore.

The studio's design vocabulary centres on a bold use of colour, tactile materiality — limewash textures, exposed brick, terrazzo, and vintage or antique elements — and an emphasis on client-specific narrative. Projects range from compact 450 sq ft apartment transformations to 1,500 sq ft full-home residential interiors, always foregrounding the story behind each space.

Angulakshmi leads design and interior styling across the studio's projects. Studio Mage has been featured in The Architects Diary, Architect and Interiors India, and The Decor Journal India for residential work in Chennai and Coimbatore.
