Fabric Louvers

These are louvers and panels whose face imitates textile: canvas and woven patterns, linen-type textures and a velvet-touch finish. There are 150+ designs, a small and focused collection. About two in three of the ones with a listed core are charcoal and most of the rest WPC or PVC, which means a hard panel with a fabric look, not cloth stretched over a frame.

Grey (45+) and brown (30+) lead, with a set of multi-colour weaves (20+). Where a finish is listed, velvet is the most common (30+ designs). Formats split between 95+ strips, most of them 12 mm, and 65+ sheets 2 ft wide, which are mostly thin 4 mm and 1 mm.

Gloirio (30+) and Trend Laminates (30+) have the largest fabric ranges, including Trend's Canvas collection, and Euro Pratik and Oliviya Laminates carry some too.

Pattern scale

Fine weaves read as a plain textured colour from across the room. Bolder weaves and multi-colour designs read as pattern, so give them one wall and keep the rest plain.

Velvet or matte

Velvet-finish panels have a soft sheen that changes as you walk past, and they look best with light coming from the side. Matte fabric looks are flatter and easier in a bright room.

Strips or sheets

A fabric pattern on strips is interrupted by the grooves, which gives a tailored, pinstripe feel. On a sheet the weave runs unbroken, closer to an upholstered wall.

Bedrooms are the obvious home: a fabric-look wall behind the bed gives the effect of an upholstered headboard wall without cloth to gather dust. They are also tagged for hotels (100+ designs) and retail (25+), where a fabric wall makes a boutique trial area or display niche feel softer. Designs carry several tags, so these overlap.

Don't count on it. They look like fabric, but the charcoal-core ones are hard panels, so the acoustic effect is small. A home theatre that needs real absorption needs dedicated acoustic panels.

Dust with a soft dry brush or microfibre cloth, and use a slightly damp cloth for marks. Don't soak them.

30+ designs carry a bathroom tag, but keep them to dry walls well away from the shower.

For the velvet feel specifically, see velvet-finish louvers. On furniture, try fabric laminates. Other patterned options are in designer louvers, or go back to all louvers.
