Grey louvers: what's in the range

1,400+ louvers and panels are tagged grey. Unlike brown, where wood grain dominates, grey is where the patterned and stone designs sit: 400+ designer patterns, 300+ marble and stone looks, 200+ grey woods and 150+ plain greys.

By shape, 700+ are narrow strips and 400+ are 2 ft wide sheets, a bigger share of sheets than most louver colours. The common thicknesses are 12 mm, 8 mm and 4 mm, with thin 1.5 mm sheets as well. Charcoal is the main core (400+), with PVC (150+), MDF and stone powder behind it.

Picking the right grey

Warm grey or cool grey

Greys vary a lot: some lean blue or green, others lean beige. If your floor is a beige or cream vitrified tile, a cool blue-grey on the wall can look cold against it, while a warmer grey sits comfortably. Check the sample in daylight and again under your LED lights, because warm-white bulbs pull greys towards brown.

Stone look: strips or sheets

A grey marble or slate face on a strip gets chopped up by the grooves, so it reads as texture. On an 8x2 or 8x4 sheet the veins run longer and the wall looks more like real stone. Choose by the effect you want.

Inside or outside

250+ grey designs are listed for indoor and outdoor use, handy for balcony walls and front elevations. Anything listed only as Indoor should stay inside.

Where grey louvers work

Grey is an easy partner for wood furniture and white walls, so it suits offices as well as homes: more than nine in ten of these designs carry an office tag. At home it works as a TV wall behind a black or wooden unit, as a bed back wall with warm lighting, and overhead, where 300+ designs are tagged for ceilings.

Grey louver questions

Will grey make a small room darker?

A mid or dark grey on every wall will. On one wall, with the others kept light, it adds depth without closing the room in. Pale greys are the safer pick for small bedrooms.

Does grey go with teak or walnut furniture?

Yes. A warm or mid grey is one of the easiest backgrounds for brown wood. Avoid a grey that leans too blue next to orange-toned teak.

What are the square grey pieces?

Those are 3D wall tiles, most about 1.6 ft a side, with a moulded relief. 40+ grey designs are 3D wall panels. They suit one feature wall rather than a whole room.
