A studio rooted in Alwarpet.

Harini Raja is a founding partner of Studio DCode, a Chennai-based interdisciplinary design practice working across architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and urban design from its base in Alwarpet. She leads the studio alongside co-founding partner Anupama, with an emphasis on sustainable, eco-friendly building methods.

With more than fifteen years of field experience, Studio DCode designs homes, offices and other spaces, with a portfolio centred on courtyard houses. The firm was longlisted in the 'Architecture studio of the year' category at the Dezeen Awards 2021, and Harini was named Best Practising Young Architect from Chennai (2022-2023) by the Indian Institute of Architects, Chennai Chapter. Recent work includes the courtyard home Alai.
