Murali architects

Murali Architects is a Chennai-based architecture and interior design practice founded in 1990 by Ar. Murali Murugan, who holds a B.Arch from the School of Architecture and Planning, Anna University, and a Master's from McGill University, Canada. Over three decades the studio has built a versatile body of work spanning residences, corporate offices, institutional, retail and hospitality projects, with residential work that reinterprets traditional architecture for a contemporary, site-responsive context. It has won an Excellence in Residential Architectural Design award (2015), a national IIA award for Excellence in Architecture (Commercial, 2016) for Manoj Bhavan, an IIID zonal award (2018), and the Tamil Nadu Government's all-India competition to design the J. Jayalalithaa memorial.
