Rain Studio

RAIN - Studio of Design is a Chennai-based architecture and interior-design firm co-founded by Vamsi Krishna, Sriram Adhitya and Bala Shanmugham. The studio describes itself as an enthusiastic and passionately curious team of architects who come together to create, learn, invent and work across diverse architectural and interior projects. Vamsi Krishna serves as Founder and Principal Architect. The practice's work spans residential villas, schools, hostels, offices, resorts, retail and commercial establishments, with a design approach that balances traditional and technological methods toward sustainable design. An example is the KARAI weekend home, a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional 'nalukettu' courtyard house on the coast south of Chennai.
