Divya Vijayanandakumar is the founder and principal designer of The DVNK Design Studio (formerly The Plan-D), an interior design practice operating between the Bay Area, California and Chennai, India. Originally a computer science engineer, she shifted into interior design and returned to India in 2011 to launch her own award-winning design-build firm, whose work was featured in Vogue. She is LEED AP certified and Allied ASID. Her studio focuses on warm, livable, client-led interiors across residential and commercial projects. She has been named a 2024 Kitchen & Bath Design News Innovator, won a 2021 NARI Platinum award for a whole-house remodel, and received an ASID award for a kitchen project. She is active in the AIA and ASID California Peninsula chapters.
