DLEA architect

Design Lab for Experimenting Architecture (DLEA) is a multidisciplinary architecture and interior-design practice based in Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai, founded in 2014. The studio rejects a fixed style, instead adapting form, material and human psychology to each client's budget, context and way of life through a process it calls deeply personalized design. Its work spans individual houses, villas, apartments and commercial projects across Tamil Nadu.

The practice is led by principal architect Ar. G. Dhayananth, M.Arch, who holds a B.Arch from the School of Architecture and Planning, Anna University (2002-2007) and an M.Arch from Anna University in collaboration with Leibniz University, Hannover, Germany (2011-2013). DLEA's residential work, including its House of Arches and a perforated-plane house in Chennai, has been published by ArchDaily, designboom and Volume Zero.
