Studio Madras Architects (SMA) is an award-winning Chennai design practice established in 2015 and based in Anna Nagar, founded by principal architects Ajay C.S and Venkatesh R.K. Its work spans residential, commercial, institutional, mixed-use, urban housing and public buildings, guided by a climate-responsive, sustainable and contextually-aware approach to space planning.

The studio offers an end-to-end Design, Construct and Furnish service, acting as a single point of contact rather than coordinating multiple contractors. It has collaborated with organisations such as WAPCOS and the Tamil Nadu Housing Board. Landmark projects include the V Sathyamoorthy & Co office headquarters in Namakkal, the 100-acre Crown City township in Coimbatore, and multiple Tamil Nadu Housing Board high-rise apartment schemes in Chennai — over 70 projects across more than fifteen districts.
